Construction of 16 breakwaters in Paphos

Following a 26 year presence in land development and building construction, with many success stories in its portfolio, Cyfield Development Public Ltd, makes a dynamic entry in the area of infrastructure projects contracting.

Having established a joint venture with a company in Greece named KEPA ATTICA – CYFIELD, Cyfield Development PLC has undertaken the construction of 16 natural rock breakwaters in Paphos, and more specifically in the areas of Geroskipou and Polis, parallel to the shore. 6 of the breakwaters will be built in the eastern part of Yeroskipou, in the area between Ezousa river and cape Moulia. The other 10 breakwaters will be built in the area between the river Petrati and the municipal beach of Polis.

Both projects, partly financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund, have a total budget of about €6.5 million, and are expected to be delivered in August 2018. The construction of these breakwaters will contribute significantly to the enhancement of the beaches in the area.
