Placement of the foundation stone of the Speech Therapy Centre, Cyprus University of Technology


The foundation stone of the Speech Therapy Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol, was placed on the 25th of October, at the University. Laying of the foundation stone was made by Stathis Papadakis, President of the Council and Andreas Anagiotos, Rector of the University. The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Limassol Savvas Stouppas, the former Mayor of Limassol Demetris Kontidis, the authorities of the University and representatives from Cyfield Group, which has undertaken the construction of the project.


The Therapy Centre will be providing its facilities to the students of the University, while at the same time offering clinical diagnosis and speech therapy services to the public. The project is expected to be completed by September 2017. The Speech Therapy Centre of the CUT constitutes an additional educational building, built by Cyfield Group.


During his speech, the President of the Council stated inter alia that "the deposit of the foundation stone for the unique Speech Therapy centre in Cyprus, is of great significance as it symbolizes the cornerstone of the Second Pole of the University. It includes the premises of the Old Hospital, the Police, the Technical School site and other sites.
